Prabhas Kalki Crosses 1100 Crore Worldwide in 5th Week :

Prabhas' magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD had a grand run at the box office even in its fifth week. The film has been directed by Nag Ashwin and it has now achieved an impressive milestone, crossing Rs 1100 crore mark worldwide. The production house of the film, Vyjayanthi Movies too took to social media and celebrated this feat. They had earlier unveiled an intense poster of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in a pivotal sequence with the caption, "An all-encompassing cinematic experience awaits us at theatres, 1100 Crores !

Kalki 2898 AD Rohan Sippy's Juggernaut marches into its Fifth week! This success accounted the role of Telugu cinema in establishing Indian films at global box office. While Rs 1000 crore mark is massive for any film, Kalki 2898 AD has performed exceptionally well. Kalki 2898 AD has now joined the club of few other Indian movies to have reached this milestone.

This Telugu film has achieved this feat globally in just 28 days of its release, becoming the third from Tollywood and fourth among South Indian movies. Despite facing competition from newbies like Bad Newz, Indian 2 and Sarfira at the box-office in India apart from said films releases worldwide this weekend. Kalki 2898 AD earned Rs 1.6 crore on its day 28 at the domestic box office, taking its total earnings to a figure well over Rs622.2-odd crores in all languages domestically, as per early estimates of course till September.

The film continued to perform well on Tuesday and a nett of around Rs 2 crore was collected which is just slightly higher than Monday's collections at Rs. However, Kalki 2898 AD turned in lower than Jawan's earnings of Rs 2.05 crore on its first Tuesday and is nearing the tenth-day sum set by it at around Rs 640 crores but not quite there yet Since Deadpool & Wolverine was released earlier this week, we are officially on the last leg of the film's theatrical run.

Whether it can stick things out with new competition remains to be seen testing its box office legs. The film which is reportedly the most expensive one to be ever made in India with a budget of Rs 600 crore also features Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee and Shobhana. Project K was the per-operative title of the film which also released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam Kannada and Hindi languages across Worldwide.
