Ravindra Vijay Fulfills Dream with Kannada Debut Role :

However, Ravindra Vijay, the South actor, makes his debut in the Kannada film industry with the movie "Theertharoopa Thandeyavarige," directed by Ramenhalli Jagannatha. In an interview, Vijay revealed that he had a "dream to act in Kannada film for a long time" as he is from Karnataka. But, Fate pushed him to look for opportunities in other film industries after which, he came back to Sandalwood with a role that he felt right. Vijay plays the main character's father in the film. He terms himself being a Physics professor teaching enthusiast. It is son who is on a quest for answers to his own dissatisfaction with his father and society. Vijay shares that his character brings interesting twist to story and that was the role he found to be exciting to play in the film.

Further, with respect to working in various film industries, he shares that the method of storytelling and character development varies from one part of the country to the other and is also largely dependent on the local cultural practices. He enjoys this diversity and variety of pace going back and forth between sector's industries and media. Vijay goes on to say that even he would love to do much more versatile roles. He manages to escape being classified as only a character actor, and does not pigeon hole himself in genres, parts, or screen time. This way, he feels he can really focus on his work, and deliver honesty in his performances.
