Samantha drawn inspiration from Mallu Actres | Shaakuntalam :
Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu claimed she would learn Malayalam if she had the chance to work with her favourite Malayalam actors while promoting her multilingual movie "Shaakuntala" in Kochi. Also, Samantha admitted that she berates her mother for not teaching her Malayalam. While Samantha's father, Joseph Prabhu, is Telugu, her mother, Ninette Prabhu, is Malayali. “My mom is from Alappuzha. One thing she didn't do right was not teach me Malayalam. I promise you, I will learn Malayalam and dub in my voice if I get an opportunity to work in Malayalam with my favorite actors.”
She says, The Malayalam performers and actors are a tremendous source of inspiration for her. She continues.
“Whenever I start feeling that my acting is getting repetitive, I watch Malayalam movies and draw inspiration from these actors. I was amazed by Fahadh Faasil's acting when I worked with him in 'Super Deluxe'. I believe all actors in Malayalam are great actors.” Dev Mohan and Aditi Balan, both known for their roles in "Sufiyum Sujatayum," also appear in Gunasekhar's Shaakuntalam, which will hit theatres on April 14.
