Director Ramesh Narayanan recently faced severe criticism for supposedly insulting Actor Asif Ali by not accepting an award presented to him during the trailer launch of ‘Manorandangal’ film. Sources indicate that he had preferred movie maker Jayararaj to present him with the award resulting in a hate campaign against him.

Asif Ali speaks against the hate campaign and explains that he was not offended by the behaviour of Ramesh Narayanan while he understands the stressful situation that occurred when organisers had initially forgotten to call Ramesh Narayanan on stage and then called out the wrong name when did. Following this incident, Ramesh Narayanan apologised to Asif Ali and the public explaining he did not intend to insult anybody.
