Dhanushs 16 Years Old Dream of Owning a House in Poes Garden :
Dhanush said that this was when he decided to build his dream house in the prestigious locality of Poes Garden Chennai during an audio launch event for 'Raayan'. His speech, however, received a mixed response on social media. His father is director Kasthuri Raja and his brother is directors Selvaraghavan, so whereas some were praising him others called it nepotism. In the function aired on Sun Television, Dhanush spoke in tamil about his Poes Garden residence, a posh locality where top celebrities like Superstar Rajinikanth and late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa have their homes.
To this, Dhanush replied as he stated"Had I known buying a house in Poes garden would become such huge controversial topicI'd have stayed at rented place instead of living all my life on the streets. Shall I buy a house at Poes Garden. Or shall I live there on the streets? That he illustrated with an inspirational anecdote from when he was 16 - "My buddy and I were driving down Cathedral Road.
We are big fans of Rajinikanth and decided to check Thalaivar pattar's house in Poes Garden. We followed the directions and there was a huge gathering at another house, which we got to know is Jayalalithaa ma's residence. I landed down and on one side saw Thalaivar's home, the other Jayalalithaa Amma house.
Then he went on, "I used to think back then - one day I should at least by a small plot in Poes Garden. I manifested it. In fact, the Poes Garden bungalow today is a present for 16-year-old Venkatesh Prabhu ( real name of his). Soon after the clip surfaced across social media, several posts emerged calling out for how Dhanush was no outsider and had not struggled as he claimed to be. This debate arose questioning his authentic background and the entitlement he possessed.
