Censor Details Revealed of STR’s Pathu Thala :

The highly anticipated gangster film Pathu Thala, directed by Silambarasan TR, is the talk of the town just a few days before its March 30 international theatre debut. The upcoming movie, which will star Simbu in a full-fledged role as an underworld don, is being directed by Obeli N. Krishna of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame and produced by K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green in association with Jayantilal Gada's Pen Studios banner. It is one of the hottest and most anticipated projects in recent memory. Expectations for Pathu Thala have increased since its star-studded audio and trailer launch event was held recently in Chennai. On March 22, the film's producers announced that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had given the movie a "U/A" rating.

As an action-packed trailer was unveiled last week during the movie's audio launch event hosted at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, the buzz for Pathu Thala soared. Another key selling point is the music, and A. R. Rahman has once again created a compelling album that has quickly risen to the top of the charts since its release. At the major audio release event, fans also got to see STR in his new, transformed form, who astounded everyone with his stirring speech and unexpected dancing performance. The 2017 Kannada movie Mufti, which starred Dr. Shivarajkumar and Srimurali, served as an inspiration for Pathu Thala. In the Tamil version, Silambarasan and Gautham Karthik play the characters of a don and an undercover police officer, respectively.

In addition to STR and Gautham Karthik, Pathu Thala has a large ensemble cast that includes, among others, Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam, Redin Kingsley, Anu Sithara, Manushyaputhiran, and Priya Bhavani Shankar, who plays the Tehsildar. Gautham Menon plays the antagonist. Simbu will be hopeful that Pathu Thala hits the mark because his most recent two movies, Maanaadu (2021) and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Part I: The Kindling (2022), were huge commercial and critical successes.
