Akshay Kumar Reacts to Terror Attack at Kesari 2 Viewing :

Akshay Kumar held a special screening of his latest film Kesari 2 on Saturday and his co-star R Madhavan was the guest of honour. When he was questioned about the recent Pahalgam terror attack, Akshay revealed that it instilled the anger that he felt in the movie. Speaking to the audience, Akshay said, “Unfortunately, the anger has ignited all over again in everybody’s hearts today. You obviously all know what I'm talking about. We want to say to these terrorists what I said in this movie. What is it?"

Responding in unison to his character’s line, the audience shouted back: “F* you.” Earlier, Akshay had reacted to the terror attack on social media and had written, “Shocked to hear about the tourist attack in Pahalgam. Hurting innocent people is just plain evil. I extend my thoughts and prayers to their family.”

Kesari Chapter 2 is based on Raghu and Pushpa Palat’s book The Case That Shook the Empire. In the movie, Akshay portrays C Sankaran Nair, an attorney who defies the British-era law to unearth the truth of the Jallianwala Bagh incident. On April 22, militants murdered 26 civilians in Pahalgam’s Baisaran meadow. One of the worst ever attacks has taken a heavy toll on the tourism industry of the region.
