Aindrila Sharma Breathe Her Last at 24 Bengal CM Tribute :

After fighting for life following a tragic brain stroke, the famous Bengali actress Aindrila Sharma passed away on the afternoon of November, the 20th. The news of her death came as a shock for people not only from entertainment industry but all walks of life. Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal, took to her Twitter handle and paid tribute to the deceased saying that "Deeply saddened at the untimely demise of our young artiste Aindrila Sharma. The talented actress won several accolades including the Tele Samman Award. My deepest condolences to her family, fans & friends. I pray they find the courage in this hour of grief." 

The actress had been reported to have defeated bone marrow cancer after undergoing chemotherapy for a year in Delhi. The disease which had cured in 2016 relapsed in 2021 when Aindrila was again diagnosed with a cancerous growth in her right lung. After being declared cancer-free recently, she made a comeback to industry. However, recently she suffered from several cardiac arrests due to which she was hospitalized and put on ventilator. Doctors performed a critical surgery on her and her recent reports showed spread of cancer to brain. Despite being given special and critical care by a team of medical specialists, Aindrila expired at the age of 24.

Aindrila’s appearance on several Bengali television serials brought her fame. She has also shared screen with her better-half in a web series named “Bhagar”. She has left behind her parents and a pet dog.
